Venous Doppler (Leg / Arm) Ultrasound

A venous Doppler ultrasound scan serves to image the deep veins in the patient’s arm or leg.  The most common reason for referral for this procedure is to determine whether or not there is deep venous thrombosis (DVT or a clot) in one of the deep veins.  It is a quick, non-invasive way of confirming or excluding this pathology.
